The CSIT World Sports Games take place in Loutraki, Greece from 3rd to 8th June 2025.

As previously announced, Athletics Leinster will be sending a team on behalf of Athletics Ireland to compete in the competition.

This year, we are hoping to send an expanded team of 8 male and 8 female athletes to take part.

This is a wonderful opportunity for athletes to gain experience of competing in an international competition.

In the competition, the following events are available:

Senior Women:

100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, 100m hurdles, 400 m hurdles,

high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, hammer

throw, 3 km walk, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay

 

Senior Men:

100 m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, 110m hurdles, 400 m hurdles,

3,000m Steeplechase, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, shot put, discus throw,

javelin throw, hammer throw, 5 km walk,  4x100m relay. 4x400m relay

 

Please note that the events highlighted in yellow are considered for calculating points in the team competition and as such may be given priority when determining the final team selection. Therefore, I ask that athletes nominated also list a second event which they may be willing to partake in if required.

On behalf of Athletics Leinster, I invite each county board to nominate up to 2 male and 2 female athletes for consideration for selection, using the form below. Please note that final selection will be decided by the Selection Committee of Athletics Leinster.

Also, please note the following regarding athlete eligibility and county board contributions:

  1. All athletes nominated MUST be willing and available to participate.
  2. All athletes nominated MUST be 18 years or older on 1st May 2025.
  3. Athletes may not have competed for Ireland or any other country in any major championships, including European U18/U20/U23 or Senior Championships, World U20 or Senior Championships, or EYOF. Representing Ireland in juvenile events such as SIAB internationals, Celtic Cross Country, etc, do not impact eligibility.
  4. County boards must contribute a fee of €200 for each athlete from their county who is selected to represent Athletics Leinster in the competition (not every athlete nominated by the county board).

 

ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 25TH APRIL 2025.

 

The final team selection will be confirmed as soon as possible after this date.
