Laois, R32 YC5X (entrance is off Main Street, opposite the Vicarstown Road) on Saturday the 23.11.2024.

Athletics Leinster “B” Cross Country

 

Eligibility:

Juvenile “B” Cross Country is open to athletes who did not win a medal at the Athletics Leinster Cross Country Championships in 2024, in any age group – even or uneven, i.e., an individual top-12 place medal, or a medal as a scoring member of a top 3 placed club or county team.

 

Distances:

Boys and Girls U11 – 1,000m

Boys and Girls U13 – 1,500m

Boys and Girls U15 – 2,500m

Boys and Girls U17 – 3,000m

 

Athletics Leinster Juvenile Mixed Relays

 

Eligibility:

Juvenile Mixed Relays are open to all registered athletes affiliated to Athletics Leinster, which comprises the Counties of the Province of Leinster, excluding Dublin and Longford.

 

Age categories for “B” Cross Country and Mixed Relays:

· Ages: Under 11, 13, 15, 17. An athlete may move up one age group to compete (e.g., an U10 can move up to U11).

· In “B” cross country, ALL entrants shall enter as individuals.

· Club or County team entries are not required; every athlete will be automatically assigned to their Club and County team and results will be determined by the first 4 Club athletes and the first 6 County athletes across the line; no team declaration is necessary.

· In Mixed Relays, Clubs may enter multiple teams; all members of a team may move up one year to make up teams.

· The running order in all Mixed Relays shall be Female – Male – Female - Male.

 

Distances:

Mixed U11 – 4 x 250m

Mixed U13 – 4 x 250m

Mixed U15 – 4 x 500m

Mixed U17 – 4 x 500m

💥Races will start at 11am with an U10s non-championship race (no pre-registration necessary for this race, just turn up on the day).
 
The U12s race will follow and the day will finish with the men’s Novice race. Full timetable attached.
 
The Cow Park fields are located beside Clonee Sawmills on the main road between Dunboyne Village and Clonee Village. There is no specific Eircode for the Cow Park fields, the nearest is D15 NX56 which is for Clonee Sawmills.
Parking is very limited, so please travel by public transport if possible. There are trains every hour to Dunboyne train station (change at Clonsilla) and the 70 Dublin bus route has a stop within 200m of the Cow Park.
There is *strictly* no parking at the Cow Park or on the roads nearby.
 
🅿️A: Parking is available at the Dunboyne train station which is 500m from the venue. Note that a charge of €3.50 per day applies for this car park, payable through Apcoa Connect https://www.apcoaconnect.ie/locationDetail/?id=1728
PLEASE DON’T PURCHASE THE PARKING IN ADVANCE AS THE CAR PARK COULD BE FULL – WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE PARKED THERE BEFORE PAYING FOR A TICKET.

🅿️B: As a second option, a free car park is also available on the Rooske Road as shown on the attached map – 1.2 km from the Cow Park.
